The Newfield Series II CV axle is definitely the hardcore racer’s choice when considering a high performance, heavy duty, and high strength CV axle. The Newfield Series II CV axle costs a little more, but can you put a price on dropping your competition like a bad habit? There is no price, and when you install a Newfield Series II CV Joint and Axle Combination on you vehicle, you have nothing else to worry about except the amount of carbon monoxide your competition is going to suck up during a quarter mile of hardcore racing.
In designing the Newfield Series II, we held back nothing for improving the performance of the CV axle. The outer joint is made from a proprietary material that is the best for shock and torque. The complete joint has been cryogenically stabilized and heat-treated to a Rockwell hardness that is most appropriately suitable for racing applications. The inner parts of the CV joint (race and cage) have been increased in size for more strength. The center bar is constructed of a 4340 chrome-moly material that is used in most high-end racing axles. The inner joint at the transaxle has been redesigned using a ball and cage design, not a tripod design. The ball and cage are much stronger because they have six contact points to distribute the torque rather than the three contact points found on the tripod design. Specially formulated grease is used to transfer heat off of the contact points and simultaneously limiting wear. The CV axle is coated in a bright racing yellow.
