The Newfield Series I CV Axle Assembly is called the performance CV axle, heavy-duty CV axle, or the racing CV axle. It is specially engineered for competition racing or street challenges and consists of completely new components.
Why do I need the Newfield Series I CV Axle Assembly?
The weakest link in a CV axle is the cage in the outer joint. At CV Unlimited, we have designed heavy-duty cages for our Newfield Series I CV joints that will hold up to the pressure of racing. The cage is made from a proprietary material that makes it virtually indestructible. After solving the outer joint problem, the racing techs at CV Unlimited used an inner CV joint that is 25% stronger than O. E. and made of 1117 heavy-duty materials. This especially designed joint uses a tripod which is much larger than stock. The center bar is made from high strength steel and induction heat-treated for maximum strength. Specially formulated grease is used to help disperse heat and limit wear. To give the CV axle the appearance that it deserves we coat the axle racing yellow.
All Newfield Series I CV axles are a direct fit. This means that you will not have to do any grinding or cutting to install these CV axles.
TECHNICAL NOTE: It is crucial that you purchase the correct axle for the application it is used for. We have CV axles for modified cars as well as stock cars. When doing engine swaps we recommend that you talk to our technical department in order to make sure you are purchasing the correct CV axle. The length is very critical in the performance of the CV axle. If the CV axle is too long or too short, it can cause problems.
